Landscape Feng Shui Part I
The importance of landscape and the building's external influences
are a major part in Feng Shui. When picking or buying a new
home or building new landscape make sure you follow these
guidelines.
- Hills should be placed in the back of the home. The higher
the hills the more support.
- If you decide to live by a pond it should be in the front.
Streams and rivers in the back represent opportunities washing
away. Depending on your ambitions, you probably have beaten
yourself for not making the right moves. Depending on other
factors it may not stop your prosperity, but it sure won't
enhance it to the next level.
- From the outside looking in the right hand should be
lower than the left hand side.
- Surrounding your home should be fresh live vegetation.
Being in home with no or dead vegetation may symbolize a
life of just getting by or a constant neglect of paying
the bills. This will surely sap a person of ambitious energy. When you're out of a job work on your garden. Bringing
plants outside will change the luck in the household immediately.
- Even though the green dragon (tall tree formations) should
be on the left (when looking at the house), if there are
no trees on the right the home will still be unlucky.
- Trees should start from the left and encircle the backyard
then household's wealth will be preserved.
- Though trees should not be directly in front of the main
door, having lines of bushes and flower will preserves the
homes wealth.
- Dense trees in the backyard will bring great wealth.
-
Recommended trees:
- Peach and willows in the east
- Chinese prunes and dates in the south
- Gardenia and Elm in the west
- Apricot and plum in the north
- Remove all white flowers from the right side of the home
else home will be poverty stricken.
